Announced by 343 Industries (The new holders of the Halo franchise), Halo: Reach will receive a Title Update to address issues and feedback from Halo: Reach players.
This was mentioned quite some time ago to be coincided with the release of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. The multiplayer in Halo: CE Anniversary will pretty much be using the same backend as Halo: Reach but will also include its own set of playlists and modes that will be more accurate towards Halo: CE’s original multiplayer.
So, what is new? Turns out that Halo: Reach will get early access to this Title Update that will be used for Halo: CE’s debut in a form of beta playlists. When you login to Halo: Reach on September 21st, you will receive an update but you will not see anything different within the game. So, guess what? It’s a damn prep update just to tease you.
On October 4th, however, a new Beta Playlist will appear among all the other fancy playlists which will feature all the changes that they intend on making to the multiplayer. Just don’t expect your Halo: CE 3-hit magnum headshot feature just yet. 343i will use this data along with feedback on their forums to make further tweaks to the game. Eventually, when Halo: CE Anniversary comes out, it will go out of beta and the last bit of adjustments will be made.
There’s no need to sign up to anything, just as long as you’re online and can play the game online.
