Banned Xbox for No Real Reason? Microsoft Might Have Made a Mistake

Many have tried to go around their methods, a large number have failed or simply don’t care about the online service. Regardless, Xbox Live is definitely a huge highlight for anyone who owns an Xbox 360 and usually whenever someone gets banned, it’s pretty legit and often comes with some hilarious excuses by the modders and hackers.

It’s a ridged system and one that really punishes.

Unfortunately, there were a few false positives discovered between August 29th to September 9th. A very small number of Xboxes were banned from the network for tampering when in reality they have not been touched at all. Details were posted on Major Nelson’s blog with Stepto stepping in with the info (no pun intended). Those that have been wrongfully banned may find themselves unbanned and even compenstated with 3 free months of Xbox Live and 1600 MSP.

Which, by the way, Resident Evil 4 HD is out for that amount. Why the heck not?
