Epic Posts Gears of War 3 Stats and Nerfs Sawed Off Shotgun

You all seem to like using default stuff.

Epic Games posted some interesting information about what players like to play and weapons they like to use in Gears of War 3′s multiplayer modes. One thing to note is that everyone seems very content with their Lancer/Gnasher combo because either they prefer it over the specialized weapons or they’re just too lazy to switch over to different weapons.

In any case, they did also mention that the Sawed Off Shotgun will have a shorter “gib range” than before. The “gib range” is the distance between the enemy and your gun where a shot will instantly kill. The Gnasher also has this range as well but it is shorter than the Sawed Off Shotgun range. Now, the Gnasher and the Sawed Off will have the same gib range. How will this change affect the Sawed Off in terms of usage? You typically do not see downs occurring with the Sawed Off so this could very well make this weapon a bit pointless. This update is in effect today so go online, fire a few shots and let’s see what happens!
