Modern Warfare 3: The Buyer’s Guide

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is a little under a week before release and there are probably a ton of people who already pre-ordered the game and are content with what they have. For those wanting to seek a better deal and save some money or earn something out of it, there are plenty of incentives to go with certain retailers. Here’s a list of retailers that have a bonus attached to their copy of Modern Warfare 3:
Amazon is selling the game at a slightly reduced price of $56.99. Xbox 360 owners will also get an American Special Forces avatar item. You will also get a free Modern Warfare 3 Wallpaper… Woo? And 10 dollars off a MW3 Brand Turtle Beach Earforce Headset. Amazon Prime of course gets free release day shipping, otherwise it’s 99 cents.
If you prefer the trade-in route, Gamestop currently has its Power Trade system where if you trade in your games towards Modern Warfare 3, you will get a 30% increase for all trade ins put down for it. Got some of those games you’re no longer interested in? Best way to quickly get rid of them right here.
Got a mobile phone or a printer to use? Flash this to Best Buy and they’ll dock off 10% off your purchase of Modern Warfare 3 (or anything really). This also means you can snag up a copy of the Hardened Edition.
This one is probably the best deal I’ve seen for Modern Warfare 3 alone. Buy it from Buy.com for $54.99 with Free Shipping and also get a 10 dollar gift card (in the form of super points) towards anything else at Buy.com. Yums!
The best deal for a PS3 owner who is thinking about buying Uncharted 3 is from Kmart. All you would need to do is sign up for the Shop Your Way Rewards card online or at the store and buy Uncharted 3 before November 5th. You’ll get a $20 dollar gift card which you can then use after November 6th to purchase Modern Warfare 3. Not bad for $100+Tax for two brand new games.
Of course, some of you might ran into that news bit that Kmart is selling Modern Warfare 3 early. Unfortunately, soon after news broke out, Kmart pulled the games off the shelves and you’ll probably have a hard time trying to find a copy of it being sold now. If you bought one and are worried about getting Xbox Live banned, fear not as Stepto from Xbox Live’s Security Team has stated that you will not get banned if you own a legitimate copy.
