Playstation Network’s Gameshare Functionality Now Reduced Down to Two

Can't spread it around like STDs any more!

Those in the know about the ability to Gameshare games with other PS3 owners might be keeling over in doubt and despair right now. Recently announced on the Playstation Blog that the number of devices that can be activated for use of downloads of content on one account on PSN will be reduced to two PS3 machines and two PSP machines starting on November 18th.

Eep.

However, they did say that any games that have been downloaded previously to November 18th will not have their license revoked and you may continue play on those as normal. New purchases starting from November 18th will be subjected to the new rules.

What do you guys think? Two seems to be fair considering there are those that use gamesharing to give out multiple copies of a game for the price of one. People also usually don’t own more than one or two PS3s as well. There also has been no mention about the soon-to-be-released Playstation Vita but we assume it’ll be subjected to only allowing two shares as well.
