iCade Mobile Brings Handheld Tactile Buttons to Your iPhone/Pod

As an owner of a iPhone 4S, I pretty much have left my Nintendo 3DS and PSP at home because quite frankly I don’t like lugging those things around in my pocket. Therefore, my primary portable gaming device (or portable anything device for that matter) is my iPhone. So, hearing that ION is making an attachment that hooks up to your iPhone and gives you access to actual tactile buttons excites the crap out of me!
At CES2012, ION will be introducing the iCade Mobile and the iCade Core. Both will be using Bluetooth to interact with the iPhone and both will be coming out at some time in 2012. It should be noted that in order for an iCade device to work with an app, the app must support the attachment. Will we start seeing developers going back and adding support for these attachments or will we be paying for an attachment with next to no uses other than a handful of games?
