Blizzard Removes Cauldron of Jordon and Changes Other Features in Diablo 3

As we’ve seen from time and time again, Blizzard does one thing best: Make completely huge changes to their game’s system. While Diablo 3 is probably still far away from release, it doesn’t mean that development is still constantly on going and with these recent changes laid out by Jay Wilson it may be even longer before we’ll see Diablo 3 in store shelves.
Some major changes include the removal of Scrolls of Identification as now your character is so “badass” that it will be able to identify gear right on the spot, it’s just that it will require a bit of a cast time to do so. The 5th quick slot button has been changed to a potion-chugging button as most players in the beta seem to be using it just for that. The Mystic artisan will be removed and may be added in later (pre or post release unknown but most likely post) and the Stone of Recall is now just a Town Portal button on your UI. This means that with this change, the Town Portal will also mean that they want you to go back to town more often as they feel it’s a nice break from the ever grinding pacing of the game. Therefore, the Cauldron of Jordon, which acts a NPC vender to convert your crap into gold, has been removed along with the Nephalem Cube.
WoW…
Attributes will also be simplified in the way that WoW handles their stats distributions. Now it will be simply be reduced down to four stats: Strength, Dexterity, Intellect and Vitality.
Diablo 3 still has no release date and judging by these massive changes, who knows really at this point. I doubt even Blizzard knows when it will be coming out as of now.
