Musou Orochi 2 Leaves Japan March 30th As Warriors Orochi 3

Warriors Orochi (Musou Orochi in Japan), a game that combines Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors for expanded team mayhem, is a series you don’t hear much of these days overseas. Musou Orochi Z never left Japan, much to the sadness of fans (myself included). Musou Orochi 2, the newest release, came out about a month ago in Japan, and most weren’t counting on it leaving Japan either. I must admit, however, that I was fully prepared to import the game.
Looks like that won’t be the case after all, since Musou Orochi 2 is now bound for Europe and North America as Warriors Orochi 3. The game features over 120 characters, the largest roster between Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors! It even includes all the characters added into Dynasty Warriors 7 and its expansion Xtreme Legends. As a continuing trend that started with Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce, there are guest characters included (though now they are fully playable, unlike in Strikeforce). Included are:
- Ryu Hayabusa of Ninja Gaiden
- Ayane from Dead or Alive
- Jeanne d’Arc from Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War
- Achilles from Warriors: Legends of Troy
- Nemea from Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll
The game will feature online play, deep character customization, a weapon “Fusion” system, new abilities for team play, and even some original characters thrown into the fray. Warriors Orochi 3 will be released March 30th for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. You can visit official English website for the game here and check below for the trailer of the Japanese version of the game. I’m totally stoked, I need Ayane!
