World of Warcraft Still Going Strong: 10.2 Million Subscribers as of 2012

Star Wars: The Old Republic might not be seeing its end any time soon with its successful launch but this also doesn’t mean that World of Warcraft is doing that bad either. Just recently released from Blizzard-Activision are the quarterly reports for the 4th quarter for 2011. Of course Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is among their best sellers for 2011 but World of Warcraft is still going strong with 10.2 Million subscribers worldwide as of 12/31/11.
With Cataclysm bringing back players and the incentive to get an annual pass for Diablo 3, the Blizzard side of this is certainly rolling in some dough. We’ll have to see how World of Warcraft will fair with Mist of Pandaria coming out later this year.
