The Last Story Confirmed For North America In Summer 2012

Wii owners should be jumping for joy after just reading the headline. This is no joke. Mistwalker’s The Last Story will finally grace North America in Summer 2012, courtesy of XSEED Games. The Last Story is an Action RPG that also supports online multiplayer with up to 6 players in cooperative and competitive modes. The game’s music was done by Nobuo Uematsu, mostly known for the Final Fantasy series. Coincidentally, the creator is Hironobu Sakaguchi, CEO of Mistwalker and also known for the Final Fantasy series.

I don’t think there could be any other announcement for the Wii this year that will have me jumping for joy. With Xenoblade Chronicles coming to North America, and now The Last Story, all that is missing is Pandora’s Tower, the last of the established RPG trinity on the Wii.

Reggie-Fils Aime announced the game on the second edition of Nintendo Direct, which you can view below, at the 10:12 mark.
