Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on Vita Blocks In-Game Screenshot Feature

But it can’t stop the power of a cell phone camera!

Perhaps one of the features that excites me the most about the Vita, especially as a video game reviewer, is the fact that you can take screenshots in-game. Though normally you wouldn’t be able to take screenshots during certain FMVs, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3′s complete disabling of the feature is mind-boggling to say the least. You’re unable to take screenshots during any portion of the game, menus or gameplay. This makes no damn sense.

Is this an intentional design by Capcom or Sony? All other games seem to allow this just fine except for UMvC3 from at least what I’ve heard and seen. There was even an incident report about another PS Vita title named Dream Club Zero but the publisher went out to say that it wasn’t designed to block out screenshots and the final game evidently didn’t have this issue.

I really don’t see why the need to block screenshots like this, especially since UMvC3 looks fantastic for what it is on the Vita. An implementation of this just sounds like they went out of their way for it and that’s simply not cool.
