So games are coming out left and right and they need to be bought. There are quite a few key dates which will be seeing a flood of releases. I’m going to call these “Open That Wallet Day.” Let’s look at March 13.

It’s been forever since we got a major Tales titles in North America. The last releases we saw were Tales of Vesperia on Xbox 360 and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World on the Wii about four years ago. Tales of Graces f sports an action-oriented battle system called the Style Shift Linear Motion Battle System (SS-LMBS). Playable characters have two styles of combat that can be used individually or in conjunction, offering access to a variety of attacks and unique abilities between each party member. Connect up to 3 additional controllers and engage in cooperative multiplayer during battles. Take control of Asbel Lhant as he goes through trial and tribulation to protect those dear to him in this adventure of trust and friendship.
Yakuza: Dead Souls – PlayStation 3 – $59.99
Yakuza: Dead Souls takes a step away from the main storyline for some undead action. An outbreak has turned residents of Kamurocho into zombies. The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force was called upon, but was unable to handle the outbreak and the only surviving soldier is Misuzu Asagi. Kazuma Kiryu, series protagonist, returns from Okinawa upon receiving a phone call that Haruka has been kidnapped. Joining Kiryu for some zombie-busting are Shun Akiyama, Goro Majima, and Ryuji Goda. All four men are playable characters.
Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations – PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 – $59.99
Experience an in-depth rendition of the Naruto timeline. For the first time in Ultimate Ninja Storm, characters from the main story and the timeskip will be available, resulting in the largest roster in a Naruto game. Exclusive to this game is one hour worth of brand new animated scenes which add on to the story’s canon. If you think you have what it takes to be the top ninja, take the game online with new features such as a tournament mode. Naruto fans don’t want to miss out on Generations.
Silent Hill Downpour – PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 – $59.99
Murphy Pendleton has been incarcerated for several years, having had his sentence extended once already. Due to his history at Ryall State Prison, he is being transferred to nearby Wayside Maximum Security Penitentiary-but a freak accident cuts the journey short. Waking up in a forest next to the wrecked bus, Murphy has a clear shot at freedom. He makes his way into the sleepy town of Silent Hill where mysterious locals welcome him into a slowly developing personal hell. With free-roaming and enhanced exploration, players will have access to all new side-quests that will unlock additional areas, special items, and other bonus content. Mario Party 9 – Wii – $49.99
Mario Party dropped this past Sunday, and Nintendo tends to release games on Sundays, so this gets a mention in Open That Wallet Day. Mario Party 9 adds a ton of new content that makes this a definitive entry in the Mario Party series. 80 new minigames have been included, each stage now has a boss battle that players must work together to defeat while also seeking to improve their own individual performance, and now stages can be traveled across through special vehicles in which players take turn as the Captain. This new feature streamlines the game play and keeps everyone involved in the game. Go grab three friends and party!
Journey – PlayStation 3 (Digital Title) – $14.99
If you are/were a PlayStation Plus member, you saw this in the release section one week early. Now, Journey will be available to all users as of March 13. Thatgamecompany, responsible for Flower and fl0w, bring you another visually stunning adventure. You control a robed figure in a desert with only a mountain in the distance as a guide. As you journey to discover the history of an ancient civilization, you can come across other players online as strangers. Players aren’t identified by username nor is it possible to communicate. Final Fantasy XIII-2 Opponent: Jihl Nabaat - PlayStation 3/Xbox360 (Downloadable Content Add-On) – $2.99
You may or may not have read our post regarding this DLC add-on. This adds Jihl Nabaat from Final Fantasy XIII as a battle in the Coliseum and upon defeat can be recruited as a Saboteur. Well, that’s one monster slot permanently taken. I loved Jihl even when I wasn’t able to fight her and felt she was killed off unreasonably back in Final Fantasy XIII.

The newest wave of DLC adds two playable characters, Nisa from Hyperdimension Neptunia and Pram from Makai Kingdom. We also get a new pirate ship and a new map. The provided chart is taken from NIS America’s DLC release schedule.
