Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode II – Desert Zone and Episode Metal Trailer

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II has a new trailer showing off an oily desert level that looks like a combination of Oil Ocean from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sandopolis from Sonic & Knuckles. The trailer also shows off the new Episode Metal, which can be obtained if you have both Episode I and Episode II and is unlocked via “Lock On,” much like Sonic & Knuckles could be used to make Knuckles playable in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and complete the second half of Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Episode Metal will feature four exclusive levels, explain the rebirth of Metal Sonic and make Metal Sonic playable.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II will be released on the following dates:
- May 15 – PlayStation 3 via PlayStation Store
- May 16 – Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Arcade
- May – iPhone
- June – Android
- July – Xbox Live on Windows Phone
