World of Warcraft Adds Cross-Realm Zones

As MMORPGs advance on through the years, lower level areas start to suffer population issues which results in empty zones. Now, Blizzard has come up with the technology to fix this issue in World of Warcraft by introducing cross-realm zones. Specific zones in World of Warcraft will be set as cross-realm zones, which will include low populated areas based on the server.

While this will allow zones to feature a little bit more life in their deserted areas, I can only imagine how often PvP fights would occur with this addition. Last time I’ve leveled up on a PvP server, barely any PvP took place as I hit level cap. It is also interesting to see a function like this due to the changes made in Cataclysm where most group quests were removed.

This will be implemented and tested on the closed Mist of Pandaria beta soon.
