Volition’s Saints Row: The Third – Enter the Dominatrix, the standalone expansion to the original Saints Row: The Third, was cancelled.

But “The Next Great Sequel in the Saints Row Franchise” has been announced!

But that’s also the tentative title for the game.

After taking the seat as President of THQ, Jason Rubin felt that the team at Volition had something great in their hands with the development of Enter the Dominatrix. Instead of limiting themselves to just an expansion to Saints Row: The Third, they decided it would best to make it into a full fledged sequel. Tentative titled as “The Next Great Sequel in the Saints Row Franchise” and planned for 2013, I can only hope that they keep this title when the game releases.
The content developed so far in Enter the Dominatrix will make its way into the sequel in some form, it is not known if they will be bringing over the aliens and the whole Matrix aspect back into the sequel.
