Blizzard Seeking Feedback for Diablo III Magic Find Stat

In an effort to extract fan feedback, Blizzard is asking for everyone who plays Diablo III to throw in some input in regards to handling “Magic Find”, a stat that increases the chances of a rare item drop.

For some time, Blizzard has shown concern over players who are swapping in gear with high amounts of magic find right before they deal the finishing blow over Elite/Champions/Bosses. All the math for drop rates and any modifiers involving it are calculated the moment an enemy dies.

The concern stems from Blizzard’s fear that players can only optimize themselves if they choose to make this mundane and annoying step. Swapping from effective killing gear into a weaker set of gear with high magic find is not something that Blizzard wants players to abuse. Blizzard does want to change it but instead of straight up nerfing, Blizzard is asking the fans for input.

The details can be found on the official Diablo III Blog. If you have anything to input (and man, Blizzard has a lot of input to go through), you can go straight to this forum post! You must have Diablo III (or other active Blizzard game in your account) in order to post on their forums.
