Mog’s Phantastic PSO2 Adventures – Level Capped

As it stands now, Phantasy Star Online 2′s level cap is level 40. It really does not take that long to reach 40 if you play in any real serious way, and there’s still plenty of things to do at level 40.

The level cap will see an increase later this fall, and we will most likely start seeing more things coming out from SEGA such as more classes and different weapon types. As for now, hitting level cap for me is a good time as it gets everything out of my system and allows me to casually work on things in-game.

I’ve recently took part in a new podcast called PSE Burstcast!, a PSO2 podcast that is spearheaded by me and includes co-hosts Taryn and Frei. If you didn’t listen to our pilot episode and want to give some feedback, please have a listen!

Though, the real reason I wanted to point the podcast out is because Taryn does go into some aspects about the Matter Board. In PSO2, the Matter Board serves as the game’s platform for story elements. Because I don’t understand any advanced Japanese or even enough to keep a conversation going, I opted not to do these as I leveled up. However, I soon learn that the items that they give are pretty nice and the NPCs that you run into are, at the very least, interesting enough to at least do it to unlock them.

Aside from that, PSO2 is still all about item finding, and I got my hands one of the best rifles in the game.

I don’t even know what the heck it’s called, but it’s good!

I also found some units (well, I didn’t find, rather I bought them) which now makes me really uncomfortable as now I’m walking with a dragon’s tail.

If you were in my shoes, you’d be hatin’

The next update (this Tuesday) will introduce Bikinis and a space tuna weapon into the mix. I will be trying to get my hands on a space tuna. Despite it being a sword, I’ve heard it can be equipped by any class. It should be noted that weapons like those (Soul Eater also comes to mind) will not allow you to do any Photon Arts if you’re not of the right class despite being able to equip it. So for the space tuna, I cannot use any Sword PAs on my Ranger.

… But that’s not going to stop me.
