NEOGEO X GOLD Package Will Sell For $200

Witness the rebirth indeed. NEOGEO X GOLD has been confirmed for a December 6th, 2012 worldwide release for $199.99. This package is more than just the handheld as originally seen. It will be a full station that will include a charging dock that will also allow you to plug in the NEOGEO X Joystick and output to TV.
The charging dock and joystick are both replicas of the original NEOGEO AES console and joystick.
While what this machine is actually capable of is a bit under wraps, it does feature a 4.3″ LCD display, an expandable game card slot (for more NEOGEO games I’m sure), stereo speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack that every handheld should have at this point.
It’s… pricy to today’s standards, especially since you’re paying for what is essentially an emulator in a handheld and replicas of old hardware. However, considering that the AES and the carts were extremely expensive back in the day, maybe it’s not so bad!
Then again, you can pick up the NEOGEO collections that are floating about for way cheaper.
