PlayStation Vita 1.8 Firmware Update Now Live

Sony just rolled out the new PlayStation Vita Firmware which promises the much needed PSone compatibility update. Unfortunately, this seems to be leading to quite a bit of confusion as not only does the PS Blog mentions only nine games, but NeoGAFers have found out that more games are actually supported… and yet some games aren’t showing up for everyone as transferable.

An ongoing list is being compiled on NeoGAF. Personally, I haven’t had any progress in transferring any of the PSone games that I have purchased on my PlayStation 3 to transfer over. It’s also not possible to purchase/download any PSone games on the Vita at the moment since the PlayStation Store has yet to be updated.

If you have any success stories, please sound off on the comments below!

Updated: After messing around with it further, it seems like everything I have is able to transfer through, even some PS+ free games.

    haha, there’s over 100 games supported “officially” in Europe. Can’t wait to get home to roll this bad boy out for myself and get cracking on Final Fantasy on my Vita.

      I’m bummed that I can’t play Legend of Mana on it, a game that I always wanted to give another go after disliking it years ago;
