Terraria, which can quickly be compared to as a 2D Minecraft, has seen success when it was originally released on PC back in 2011. Earlier this year, the developers Re-Logic has announced that they will not be continuing the development of Terraria and that there will be no further update patches.

Fast-forward to today, it has been announced on the official Terraria Facebook page that Terraria will be ported over to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network with brand new content. However, it seems as though fans of the PC version aren’t too keen on the idea of seeing their beloved game getting updates on something other than — well, their PC. These angered fans have taken their displeasure over the news onto Facebook.

Okay – so how long has it been since an update? And you are gonna give the PC fans the middle finger. We supported the game only to be abandoned midway through it. I don’t like this news. Update for PC asap then focus on expanding to consoles. Don’t like this marketing idea of “Hey, lets port it to consoles to milk some cash” and stiffing your original supporters. 0/10 will not promote or buy.

Well thats a good way to —- your existing consumers on the pc version, you stop making updates and —-. Then you reveal a “Amazing pile of dump” For crappy consoles. How amazing!

The developers have not made any statement on if the PC version will see the new content. Seeing how everyone looks pissed off about it, maybe it would be to their benefit to work on that.
