Wii U Comes Out In North America on November 18th

The Wii U will be released in North America in two flavors on November 18th 2012: A Basic and a Deluxe Set

The Basic set will be in all white and features the following for $299.99 USD:

Wii U Console
Wii U Gamepad
AC Adapter
HDMI Cable
Wii U Sensor Bar

The premium Deluxe set will be in all black and features the above and more for $299.99 USD:

More memory (32 GB based on the JP reveal)
Gamepad Charging Dock
Gamepad Cradle
Nintendo Land as the pack-in game
Premium service for Wii U eShop for discounts

During the stream, it was stated that almost all Wii games and accessories will work on the Wii U, with the Wiimote and Nunchuck working out of the box. There will also be Wii U branded Wiimotes and Nunchucks for sale.

Wii U Branded Wiimote and Chuck to appear in stores. No difference with original Wii controllers.

Metroid returns in Nintendo Land as Metroid Blast.

New Super Mario Bros U a launch title. Nintendo further showcases modes: Boost Rush Mode and Challenges.

Lego City Undercover will also be a launch title.

The Wii U is built on three pillars: Games, Miiverse, Buh? Entertainment? Nintendo revealed Nintendo TVii, which will bring the Wii U up to par with the other major consoles as it will allow you to access movies, TV shows, sports, and streaming services like Amazon, Netflix, and Hulu.

Interact with the Gamepad and watch it on either the Gamepad or the TV!

It seems that Nintendo is still not set on their launch titles yet, but Reggie did wanted to let us know that the launch for the Wii U will be the strongest in Nintendo’s history.
