Call of Duty: Black Ops II Expands Zombies Into Competitive Territory

Polygon got a chance to sit down with Treyarch to grab some details about the Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. What started as a side mode in Call of Duty: World at War, Treyarch’s Zombie Mode has been well received by so many that it’s easily one of the most anticipated features in a Treyarch Call of Duty game.
The original Survival mode is still intact, but now Treyarch is throwing in more game modes.
“Tranzit” is a story-based campaign mode that takes you through interconnected zones with a bus in tow. Evidently, you and a bunch of other peeps are trying to survive a zombie outbreak and that bus serves as your only sanctuary. You’ll be able to create items to help you defend against the undead horde, though venturing away from the bus will be required to get what you need.
For the competitive player in mind, the “Grief” mode pits teams of human players in the middle of a zombie map. They will not be able to shoot each other, instead they can hinder the other team’s defenses and performance by indirect means, thus allowing the zombies to overcome them and use them as their midnight snack.
More specific details can be read over at Polygon.
