Mad Catz Offers The Slightly Less Technical S.T.R.I.K.E.5

We recently reviewed Mad Catz’s new fancy keyboard, the S.T.R.I.K.E.7 and it was an amazing piece of hardware. It was also pretty expensive.

Mad Catz has announced that they have released the S.T.R.I.K.E.5, a keyboard that is a step down from the S.T.R.I.K.E.7 with the notable difference that is no longer a touchscreen but rather an OLED command module.

That “E.Y.E.” thing is really creeping me out though.

The S.T.R.I.K.E.7 was $299.99. The S.T.R.I.K.E.5 is priced at $199.99, 100 dollars cheaper. Assuming there’s nothing majorly different aside from this command module change, I’d say it’s worth checking out if you were on the fence about buying the S.T.R.I.K.E.7. There are limited quantities in the online store at Mad Catz.

The original S.T.R.I.K.E.7 keyboard was a modular keyboard where you can swap parts around to create the ultimate transformer keyboard. While not using mechanical keys, the S.T.R.I.K.E.7 does offer many levels of comfort and customization to fit all your fancy needs.
